Belz Road Bridge (Warren Truss Style - late 1800's)

The original Bridge is now located in The Colony's Greenway Park

Old Belz Bridge

Created in the late 1800's by Denton County; as they replaced old wood bridges at the time of growth.

This is a single lane bridge and was state of the art at the time.

Removed in 2007, relocated to the park in 2008 as a historical marker.

New Belz Bridge

When the old historic one lane bridge was moved; a new two lane Warren-Truss bridge was put in its place on our Northeast corner crossing the high bank Duck Creek; which is filled with Ammonite fossils from 60-90 million years ago.
